A Study of Chu Culture under the Infiltration of Witchcraft Culture

  • Witchcraft Culture is the characteristic of Chinese primitive culture, and also the unique connotation of Chu Culture. According to the theory of Chinese civilization pluralism and from the overall perspective of the development of Yangtze River civilization, this thesis takes the belief in witchcraft, sorcery customs and ritual dance of Chu as a starting point. It mainly studies how the Witchcraft Culture penetrates into the system of Chu Culture, and affects its connotation, characteristics and style, and then influences the civilization of the Yangtze River. This thesis aims to outline the Chu Culture which is infiltrated in Witchcraft Culture, and then constructs the ancient Yangtze River civilization system, taking Witchcraft Culture as characteristics and link and the Chu Culture as the main carrier.
