On Tone Features of Enshi Downtown Dialect: An Acoustic Experimental Study Based on Monosyllabic Tone of Enshi Downtown Dialect

  • In order to objectively represent the tone in Enshi downtown dialect, the author adopts the methods of of experimental phonetics and uses the Praat tone analysis software to analyze the pitch, duration of the dialect's monosyllabic tone. According to the analysis, the tone pitch of the dialect is: Yinping 35, Yangping 22, Shangsheng 53, Qusheng 113. The duration pattern is: Yangping >Qusheng > Shangsheng > Yinping, or Qusheng > Yangping > Yinping > Shangsheng.
