On the Problems and Countermeasures of Interest Expressing Channels of the Landless Peasants in the Process of Urbanization

From the institutional design, landless peasants can express their demands through petition, judicial relief, village committee and mass media. But these channels of expressing are somewhat obstructed in practice, resulting in ineffective or even invalid interest expression for the landless peasants. The inefficiency or ineffectiveness of such claims may trigger the confrontational action taken by some landless peasants forcing the relevant subjects to respond to their interests. In order to effectively safeguard the legitimate interests of landless peasants and for the sake of social stability, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to unblock the channels of farmers' interest expression.
