Traditional Small-and-Micro Businesses Entrepreneurial Agglomeration and Path Dependence—The Analysis of Packaging Entrepreneurial Agglomeration in Cangshuipu Town of Yiyan

Small and Micro Businesses (SMiB) entrepreneurship is important for county-level economy development and it is very urgent to solve the constraints that the SmiBs are faced with.This paper focuses on traditional SMiB entrepreneurial agglomeration and introduces the case of Packaging Entrepreneurial Agglomeration in Cangshuipu Town of Yiyan.Based on path dependency theory and entrepreneurial agglomeration theory, this paper finds that the entrepreneurship in this agglomeration has some path dependency characteristics in culture lock, scale effect, technology reinforcement and entrepreneurial selection.So, for less technological strengthful and highly resource constrained SMiBs, it is effective to lower the operation risks, reduce initial financial cost and operational cost and increase the reputation by the agglomeration path creation.
