Abstract
The application of data-driven learning mode in teaching of College English intensive reading course is expounded based on the analysis of several teaching cases involving affixes, collocation and colligation, typical sentence patterns and lead-in to a new lesson.Compared with the traditional teaching modes, the data-driven one can get rid of the"teacher-centered"teaching idea, and pay great attention to students' learning process of discovering, exploring and summarizing by themselves.Therefore, it will be beneficial for the cultivation of students' ability of observing, generalizing and autonomic learning.
