Corrections for Brief Study on Shu in Song-Yuan Literary Issues

  • A Brief Study on Shu in Song-Yuan Literary Issues, was written by Quan Zuwang, a Qing Dynasty Scholar, who went against the gist of its originator but simultaneously set the conventions according to Li Theories, taking for granted that its extensiveness with Chan. The views are improper and biased. However, analyzed from its academic value and literary status, it should be regarded as a book of Li Theories. This paper holds that the book Shu Xue Synopses is of great academic value in that it brought about the local revival of Shu Xue.
