Abstract
An empirical study is conducted in Xinyang Normal University to examine the teaching effect of college English imitation writing under meme theory.Analysis of the experimental data shows that, based on meme theory, teaching of college English imitation writing improves non-English majors' English writing competence, writing habits and learners' attitudes towards English writing.Therefore, application of meme theory to imitation writing is an effective method to teach college English writing.
