Xiao Jiefu's Theory of Early Enlightenment——Based on A Rough Road to Chinese Philosophical Enlightenment

  • The core of Professor Xiao Jiefu's theory of Early Enlightenment is: "Does China have its own Philosophical Enlightenment or Renaissance?" This question logically contains four inquiries: 1) What is the "Philosophical Enlightenment or Renaissance"? 2) Does China have its own Philosophical Enlightenment or Renaissance? 3) If it has, then what is it? 4) Why this question is proposed or what is the significance of this question? Xiao's theory of Early Enlightenment, which still has its profound and revelatory meaning today for us to explore "Cultural Modernization", is the answer to these questions in some sense.
