Abstract
This article introduces the phallocentrism proposed by Lacan and examines the phallocentrism in contemporary fiction composition through a comparative study of three stories, Jiang Xingge Regains His Pearl Garment by Feng Menglong (1574 - 1646), A Lesson on the Body by the contemporary writer Qin Bazi, and Ageing amid the Fragrance of Flowers by a woman writer Qiu Shanshan. Feng's story advocates the traditional ethics and sings praise of loyalty in the description of sexual desire and love. Qin's story agrees to the male - centered sexual relationships with mistresses, teaching readers to understand the bodily desire and ignore ethics and morality. Qiu's story, however, condemns the sex against"sexual ethics"and depicts the degradation of young and mid - aged women in the contemporary environment, where people are desperate for power and money, placing sex above love and even becoming phallocentric.
