Reasons for Mohism Decline in the Qin and Han Dynasties

  • Mohism is an important component of Chinese traditional culture, whose essence is still instructive to China's modernization construction; however, it has not been passed down as an independent ideology and culture since the Qin and Han Dynasties. This paper discusses the social and historical reasons for Mohism decline in terms of the background, the political and economic situation of ancient China, and its relationship with other theories, especially Confucianism.
