Preliminary Study on Yao Xiguang's Educational Investigation and Educational Thought

  • Late Qing Dynasty experienced the unprecedented historical change.Facing increasingly severe national and social crisis, many people of insight bravely undertook the historic mission of that time.Among them was Yao Xiguang who was a political figure with far-sighted, sharp thinking and great concern about China's fate.Then he was accredited to Japan to learn from Japan's education system.On coming back, he proposed sensible suggestions for military education and national education, which not only made due contribution to education reform and development at that time, but also gave some inspiration to the contemporary education reform.
