Review and Outlook: Development of Cognitive Linguistic Theory and the Translation Study in China

From the birth of cognitive linguistics in the early 1980s and the founding of International Cognitive Linguistics Association in 1990 to the widespread study on the theory and practice in recent ten years of this century, it is evident that cognitive linguistic is a new trend in language studies.The application of cognitive linguistics to translation study provides us a brand new perspective.This paper not only gives a review of the study of cognitive linguistics and translation in China, but also analyzes the scope of study, related researches and the prospect in future study.
