Evolution of Mo, Shu, Wu in Sichuan Dialects

  • This paper classifies the rhymes of Shu, Mo, Wu into three main types and six groups. It proves that the three rhymes were not distinguished from Zhen Sheru rhyme in Song Dynasty, were merged into Tong Sheru rhyme in Ming Dynasty, were integrated into Dang Jiangru rhyme in Qing Dynasty and finally evolved into today's pattern.
