Abstract
As one of the famous translators, Lu Xun made great contribution to translation. His literal translation theory "faithful at the expense of fluency" was subjected to much criticism, while he abandoned this principle in translation of children's literature. This paper analyzes in detail the deep reasons for his free translation in children's literature works, from perspectives of child psychology, hobby, aesthetic taste, and content and language of these works.
