Three "Harmonious" Topics in Quyuan's Jiu Ge

  • This paper synthetically analyzes Quyuan's Jiu Ge from the creation motivation, emotional tone and lyrical style, by combining the harmonious ideas in the fields of literature, history and philosophy in pre-Qin Dynasty, and Quyuan's political and philosophical ideas, personality, art pursuit and human needs. It finds that being honest and frank is only one aspect of Quyuan's characters, we van not ignore his expectation of a harmonious state between human and nature, human and god, the Emperor and his officials, human and themselves.
