Qu Qiubai's aesthetic tastes and critical criterion of art are closely linked to the change of his thoughts. As a litterateur who had pure taste of classical literature and art, Qu Qiubai's literary thought was always mixed with classical taste of Chinese literature. But finally he decided to adopt modern literary theories and adjusted through great hardships. So he became an early modern Chinese writer, literary theorist and Marxist-Leninist critic.
