Abstract: Maritime themes have always been the focus in Australian literary works. Descriptions and focuses on ocean is a necessary part of the development of Australian literature. This essay mainly introduces Western Australian literature which focuses on the ocean; the author lists the most influential writers and their works in order to present the universality and importance of describing maritime themes in Australian literature works.
