Abstract: A sophomore's death of disease in the dormitory made his classmates trap into emotional and behavioral disturbance. Knowing it, teachers of the Counseling Center in the University designed and implemented special grief counseling. The treatment achieved desired results by helping students accept the loss, unleash their grief and develop the positive attitude when encountering negative events. This paper presents the complete process of this grief counseling for references to similar events. It also further discusses the related issues for handling such emergencies in colleges and universities.
