Abstract:
Based on the value-attitude-behavior theory, the article conducts a survey and analysis of the values, attitudes, and behaviors of scientists' participation in science popularization activities. The results show that scientists currently fully recognize the importance of participation in science popularization and are actively willing to participate. However, the scientists who actually engage in science popularization practice and the actual frequency of participation are not high, and there is a discrepancy between attitude and practice. Scientists currently have a comprehensive understanding of the content of science popularization work, and the overall evaluation and each sub-item evaluation of individual science popularization ability are positive. The types of science popularization practice mainly include lectures, centralized science popularization day activities, exhibitions, and research and development of exhibition and educational products. In order to stimulate the new quality productivity of scientists participating in science popularization and promote the high-quality development of science popularization, this article puts forward three suggestions: improve the support and guarantee mechanism for scientists to participate in science popularization at the institutional level, build a science popularization team organization system based on scientific research teams, and build a scientific research and science popularization integration development path embedded in the scientific research process.
