Abstract: Allusion is a unique rhetorical device and way of speech in traditional Chinese culture. By utilizing allusions, General Secretary Xi Jinping has inherited and carried forward the holistic world view of "one world" based on the traditional Chinese world view, the political ideal of "universal harmony", the core concept of "harmony with diversity" and the political ethic "prioritized by world's benefits". He has injected traditional Chinese world view with new connotations in the new era and successfully fulfilled creative transformation and innovative development in light of the overall prominence of the people's principal position, further extension of "community consciousness", the brand-new interpretation of "shared value of humankind" and multi-dimensional expansion of global perspective. Xi's inheritance and development of traditional Chinese world view not only offer a theoretical guide for the new era's great power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics but also contribute Chinese wisdom to global governance in the momentous changes unseen in a century.
