Abstract
To evaluate the accuracy of planar four-bar steering mechanism affected by uncertain factors, the probability theory is employed to model and analyze the motion error of the mechanism.Based on the kinematic analysis of the planar four-bar mechanism, the probability model and the reliability analysis model are presented with the consideration of dimensions tolerance.The kinematic reliability for the planar four-bar steering mechanism is calculated based on the first order and second moment (FOSM) method, and then the kinematic probability accuracy of the mechanism is studied.
