The Construction of 3D Simulation Scene and Implementation of Roam System

  • With the application of the development tools-MutiGen creator and Vega, a virtual campus 3D simulation system for WUHAN University of Technology is created. The system's vision effect and motion velocity are related with the key technologies of virtual campus's 3D scene modeling. The relevant techniques such as texture mapping, LOD, Billboards and the reduction of polygon's number are used in modeling while the man-machine interaction and collision detection are employed in real-time driving. At last, a 3D simulation system is developed.
