Progress in the Research on Insulin Resistance of Offspring Caused by Maternal High Fat Diet Programming

  • Adult diseases may originate from the impaired nutrition in early life. Accumulated reports suggest that exposure to high fat diet in early life is a risk factor for insulin resistance. This paper summarizes the animal experiment evidences about insulin resistance of offspring caused by maternal high fat diet programming, and discusses the potential mechanism.
