Numerical Simulation of the Performance of Air-Ejector in Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Unit

  • The flow field of air-ejector in liquid-ring vacuum pump unit was three-dimensionally simulated by means of software ANSYS CFX in this study.Then based on experiments, the feasibility and accuracy of the simulation were verified.The pressure field and Mach number of the ejector were analyzed, and the changing status of the air-ejector performance under variant working conditions was described.The emphasis was put on discussing the effect of outlet pressure on the performance.The results obtained from the simulation show that under the constant inlet and ejecting pressure, there is a critical outlet pressure which is the optimum operating state of the air-ejector.It provides basis for choosing the design value of outlet pressure.
