Abstract
In order to reduce the tool electrode wear in processing small deep holes in EDM, a trial research is conducted on a CNC EDM perforation machine DK703 with workpiece material 65Mn.In the trial, the tool electrode wear is taken as research object, and relevant mathematical models are created using the regressive method of orthogonal polynomials.The optimal parameters combination is obtained.The selected optimal parameters are that pulse width is 50μm, duty cycle is 1, and peak current is the 1st position.And the value of tool electrode wear is about 8 mm.It is proved that the regression equation and optimum parameter analysis are reasonable.
