Numerical Simulation for Axial Flow Check Valves

  • In order to accomplish the performance research on an axial flow check valve, it is sculpted with software Solidworks, then the model is input into ICEM and meshed.Through numerical simulation for the pressure drop and dynamic response of the check and a comprehensive analysis of the calculation results, it is found that the axial flow check valve has some advantages, such as energysaving effect, water-preventing hammer.The flow under several kinds of velocity of flow is calculated by FLUENT, and the calculated results are compared with the results obtained from experiments.The agreement of them is good, which proves that CFD/CAD integration is effective in engineering applications.
