An Improved Virtual Synchronous Generator Based on PR Controller

  • Virtual synchronous generator(VSG) and virtual synchronous generator of current control(VISMA) are two main virtual synchronous generators in the word at present. Traditional VSG is difficult to track active power and reactive power when the frequency or voltage magnitude of the grid fluctuates. A kind of VSG based on PR controller is proposed to improve VSG's power tracking property. It can switch to traditional VSG smoothly, and adapt the rapidly changes of frequency and voltage in power grid. The proposed control scheme has been validated for accuracy and feasibility on RT-LAB semi-physical simulation platform.
