Study on Stored Material Distribution Model and Calculation of Silo Wall Pressure during Discharge

  • In the coal production process, two or more products are usually loaded into a silo, the silo wall pressure need to be studied, accumulation and distribution of coal particles in the silo also need to be discussed. For ideal silos, i.e., only a feeding port and a discharge port, the calculation formula of cabin pressure at each point was deduced and soil arching effect was considered. For more discharge ports, both radial force and axial force of silo wall were produced and the eccentric power arch was considered. The calculation formula of cabin pressure along the wall ring was deduced. Linear programming model was established and the optimal solution of mixed silo was obtained in order to get effective product warehousing and mixed loading.
