Hall Angle Sensor-Based Angular Position Detection for Fire Monitors Rotation Circle Number and Angle

  • To address the limitations of angle measurement beyond 360° rotation and multi-turn recording in fire monitors, this study proposes a Hall angle sensor-based method for detecting rotation turns and angular displacement. By analyzing the correlation between the Hall sensor's output voltage variation and rotational angle, the method identifies instantaneous voltage transitions at 0° crossings to track rotation cycles while calculating cumulative angular displacement through periodic signal processing. A CAN bus protocol ensures reliable angular data transmission, complemented by a power-loss detection mechanism coupled with non-volatile memory to preserve rotation data during unexpected power interruptions, thereby guaranteeing data integrity and recoverability. Experimental results demonstrate accurate multi-turn counting, real-time data transmission, and visual position monitoring, confirming the feasibility of this detection system. The proposed solution provides a robust technical framework for multi-revolution angle measurement in intelligent firefighting equipment, effectively enhancing operational reliability and control precision.
