An Adaptive Optimization Method for Pushback Time Slots of Airport Departure Flights

  • The increasing demand for civil aviation transportation has led to an increasing level of airport congestion, and flight pushback management is the primary way to alleviate airport operational pressure. In order to develop an efficient allocation scheme for airport flight push-out slot, this paper designs an adaptive calculation method for departure flight push-out rate, and dynamically generates the push-out rate reference values for multiple periods in the future. Then we develop an efficient multi-objective optimization model to swiftly solve the flight pushback time slot scheme while satisfying the pushback rate constraint. Taken Chengdu Shuangliu Airport as an example, simulation experiments were carried out to evaluate and analyze the model results, and the results show that the proposed method is effective. The research findings offer multiple granularity management techniques, including pushback rate and pushback time slot for flight pushback decisions in the pre-tactical and tactical stages, and have some reference significance for effective and reliable flight pushback management.
