Devising of a New Kind of EDM Equipment for Surface Strengthening

摘要: 针对现有电火花表面强化设备强化层厚度薄、表面粗糙、强化层存在空洞的问题, 研制了一台采用电力器件IGBT控制堆焊电源系统生成10 kHz充放电脉冲的高频强化设备, 并为设备配备了高频步进沉积焊枪。该设备采用嵌入式单片机STC12C5204AD输出EXB851控制信号驱动BSM400GA120DN2, 通过恒流斩波集成驱动芯片L297、L298同步驱动混合式两相步进电机, 克服了现有设备充放电脉冲随机性的缺陷, 提高了强化设备的充放电频率, 细化了强化颗粒, 从而使强化颗粒相互融合连接, 为强化层提供了较大的支撑面, 显著降低了表面粗糙度, 极大地提高了强化层厚度。Abstract: In existing EDM equipment, there exist serious problems that the workpiece processed has thin strengthened layer, voids and roughsurface. In order to improve the quality of the strengthened layer, a new type of EDM equipment for surface hardening is devised. It generates 10 kHz charge and discharge pulse by controlling the power devices IGBT. The equipment is fixed with high-frequency stepping torch. In the new equipment, STC12C5204AD sends EXB851 control signal to drive the BSM400GA120DN2. At the same time, a two-phase hybrid stepping motor is driven by controlling constant current chopper integrated driver chip L297, L298. Therefore, pulse randomness defects are overcome. The pulse frequency is significantly increased. Strengthening particles are integrated to generate a larger supporting surface, which connects the strengthening layer. It significantly reduces surface roughness, and greatly strengthens layer thickness.
