Abstract: This study focused on the high performance liquid chromatography method for rapid detection of AFB₁ in broad bean. The authors investigated the separation and detection effect of AFB₁ at different times, different ultrasonic power and the different concentrations of methanol, used response surface design to discuss the interaction of different conditions. The optimum parameters are: 49.90%-50.35% ethanol concentration, extraction time 6.09-6.22 min, 95.2%-97.1% ultrasonic power. The paper presents a simple, accurate, reliable and reproducible method to determine AFB₁.
