Abstract: Aiming at characteristic factors of vehicle scheduling problems (VSP), this paper analyzes the research status of VSP with different characteristics including takeout and delivery requirements, vehicle loading capacity, the relationship between vehicles and garages, time widows and dynamic characteristics and reviews these research significance. A VSP with multiple characteristics named taking-out and placing-In wagons in railway station is introduced, and difference and connection between signal feature and multi-feature VSP are analyzed. At last, it gives summaries and outlooks for VSP research work.
