Abstract:
In this paper five different proportions of PVA/PDADMAC were used to prepare self-stand anion exchange membranes by using electrodialysis method. Also the effect of three different annealing temperatures on the performance parameters of the membrane, which were water content, charge density, dynamic transport number and membrane resistance, was investigated. The experimental results show that the water content of the membrane increases with PDADMAC content, CPC, and decreases with the annealing temperature. The membrane resistance reaches the lowest value, 4.46Ω cm
2 when CPC and the annealing temperature is 30wt% and is 180 ℃, respectively. The dynamic transport number of the membrane is 0.99 when CPC is 30wt% and the annealing temperatures is 180℃. The maximum charge density of the membrane is 1.14 mol dm
-3 when CPC and the annealing temperatures is 20wt% and 180 ℃, respectively.
