初始含水率对城市污泥压缩及强度特性的影响

Effect of Initial Moisture Content on Compression and Strength Characteristics of Urban Sewage Sludge

  • 摘要: 城市污泥具有含水率高、有机物含量高等特点,对污泥的处理及资源化利用影响较大。本文对不同初始含水率的污泥进行标准固结与无侧限抗压强度试验,研究初始含水率对污泥一维固结及强度特性的影响。结果表明:污泥的初始含水率越高,压缩性越大;初始含水率低于最优含水率(约45%)时,压缩指数随含水率增大显著增大;含水率超过最优含水率后,压缩指数的变化趋于稳定;当初始含水率超过70%后,压缩指数随含水率的增大呈陡增趋势。初始含水率低于或接近最优含水率时,污泥表现出一定的结构性,当初始含水率高于最优含水率后,污泥的结构性逐渐丧失。初始含水率低于或接近最优含水率时,污泥应力应变关系呈软化型,超过最优含水率后,应力应变关系呈硬化型。本研究能够为污泥的处理和资源化利用提供一定的理论基础和技术支撑。

     

    Abstract: Urban sludge has the characteristics of high water content and high organic matter content, and has a greater impact on the treatment and resource utilization of sludge. In this paper, standard consolidation and unconfined compressive strength tests of sludge with different water contents were carried out to clarify the effect of initial water content on sludge compression and strength characteristics. The results show that: the higher the initial moisture content of the sludge, the greater the compressibility. When the moisture content is lower than the optimal moisture content (45%), the compression index increases significantly with the increase of the moisture content. After the moisture content exceeds the optimal moisture content, the change of compression index tends to be stable. When the water content exceeds 70%, the compression index shows a steep increase trend with the increase of water content. When the water content is lower than or close to the optimal water content, the sludge has a certain structure. When the initial water content is higher than the optimal water content, the structure of the sludge gradually loses. When the initial moisture content is lower than or close to the optimal moisture content, the stress-strain relationship of the sludge is softened. After the optimal moisture content is exceeded, the stress-strain relationship is hardened. This research can provide a certain theoretical basis and technical support for sludge treatment and resource utilization.
