Abstract:
A multi-dimensional model of methanol / DME dual fuel HCCI engine was established with the consideration of inlet port, exhaust port, and internal asymmetric structure of combustion chamber. The results showed that the multi-dimensional model could predict the cylinder pressure, temperature, the fuel concentration and ignition timing. There were two high temperature regions in HCCI combustion process, the left lower bottom and the right upper edge of the cylinder, the low-temperature reaction firstly started from these regions. The low-temperature reaction started when cylinder average temperature was about 900K, the high-temperature reaction started when cylinder average temperature was about 1100K.
