Research of Domestic and Foreign Tourism Poicy

Purpose/Significance Recently with the introduction of high frequency domestic and foreign tourism policies, the research on tourism policy has also become a hot issue, for such research can promote theory and practice of tourism in our country.

Method/Process This paper summarizes the relevant research of tourism policies from the aspects of definition, classification, evolution, formulation, implementation, evaluation and specialization.

Result/Conclusion The study shows foreign tourism policy research is mainly quantitative, extensive, and relatively balanced in each research field. However, tourism policy research in our country is mostly descriptive or empirical, few are focused on implementation and evaluation, without system, or flat. Researchers in our country should expand research field, pay more attention to tourism policy implementation, evaluation, innovative research methods and theories, and attach importance to the study of time and space effect so as to enhance the scientific and efficient level of our tourism policy.
