Research on Collaborative Innovation of "Ring of Jiaotong University Wisdom City"

Purpose/SignificanceChengdu Jinniu district and Southwest Jiaotong University draw on the experiences of the global innovative highland construction model, and jointly devote to the construction of the "Ring of Jiaotong University wisdom city". This paper studies the present situation and existing problems of collaborative innovation in the region, and explores effective solutions.

Method/ProcessIn this study, a lot of fieldwork and literature review have been conducted to comprehensively evaluate the overall situation of regional collaborative innovation, problems, the causes of the problems, and the mechanism system of regional collaborative innovation within the region.

Result/ConclusionProblems exist in collaborative innovation of "The Ring of Jiaotong University Wisdom City" include inaccurate positioning of collaborative innovation subject, imbalances between input and output of innovative resources, low efficiency of working, and deviation between regional innovation cluster and benefit claims. The countermeasures to promote regional collaborative innovation are to correctly define the roles of regional collaborative innovation and to foster the innovation environment, to gather innovative resources and external resources, and to apply societal capital.
