Abstract:
Tea Road is a cross-regional and cross-national tea cultural heritage corridor covering heritages of production, transportation, management and service. This paper quantitatively evaluates and analyzes the suitability and obstacle factors of heritage tourism development in the node cities of "Tea Road"in China by using the improved entropy weight TOPSIS method and obstacle degree model. The results show that: 1) The development suitability of heritage tourism in China’s Tea Road is unbalanced, the production is moderately suitable, and the distribution and export are inferior. 2)In the dimension of heritage resources, Tea Road shows the characteristics of sub section and multi-centers. 3) In terms of the operation dimension of tourism industry, the suitable areas are mainly distributed in production and distribution sections. 4) In the dimension of economic and social development, the suitable regions are mainly central cities, while the suitability of small cities is weak. 5) As for ecological environment, the suitable areas are production sections, while distribution section and export section remain to be improved. 6) According to overall suitability and equilibrium of each dimension, node cities are divided into four types: suitable-balanced, suitable-imbalanced, weakly suitable-balanced and weakly suitable-imbalanced. 7) The operation of tourism industry is the primary obstacle to the development of heritage tourism in node cities except Wuhan.
